**FEMA IN PERSON DISASTER ASSISTANCE May 4th, 2024**

FEMA registration event at the Swan’s Island Town Office Saturday May 4th, 2024. 10a.m – 3p.m.

We will have representatives from FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance program there as well as Small Business Administration.

The primary focus will be residents who sustained damage to their home in the January storm. Local businesses, fishermen, aquaculture, etc. may also stop by to speak with the SBA reps.

FEMA representatives have expressed that secondary homes will be more difficult to qualify for assistance AND the property owner MUST be present at this event to determine their ability to receive any assistance. A caretaker cannot speak on your behalf.

Please have a valid ID and you may have to provide your social security number.

Your town select board will continue to advocate for all our residents in the wake of the storm surge events in January.
