HOURS FOR THE TAX COLLECTOR/TOWN CLERK'S OFFICE. The hours have changed so that Thursday will be a longer day for people to come in for business but Friday night business is a thing of the past. The hours will be Tuesday 12 - 4 and Thursday 12 - 6:30.

The Selectmen have changed their regularly scheduled weekly meetings to Thursday's at 7 pm.

Just a reminder that dog licenses and kennel licenses are due on January 1st of each year. Also, boat registrations and documented boats are due.

SHELLFISH LICENSES need to be renewed after April 1st each year. The resident commercial license is $125, the non-resident commercial license is $250, the resident recreational (peck) license is $12.50 and the non-resident recreational license is $25.00. Complimentary licenses must renew each year also.

DOG LICENSES are $6 for a neutered dog and $11 if they are intact. Once your puppy turns 6 months it is required that you license him/her. I will need to see a current rabies certificate plus a neutered certificate if it applies.

BOAT REGISTRATIONS and excise tax on documented boats are due on January 1st. Don't forget to keep the boat trailers current as well.

ATV and SNOWMOBILE registrations are due June 30th.

Friday 1 - 4

You can now pay property tax and excise tax by credit card. The Town of Swan's Island has joined with "Official Payments Corp." to offer a quick and convenient way to pay your taxes online.
