| When the election in November comes around, you will be able to apply for an absentee ballot through email. I have set a special email account up for this and as more information becomes available from the Secretary of State's office I will let you know.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There will be an increase in automobile registration fees and titles and ATV fees starting September 1st. A regular plate will be $35.00 instead of $25.00, the initial plates will be $25.00 instead of $15.00 and title fees will increase to $33.00 from $23.00. ATV registrations will increase by $2.00 for a Maine resident. It will soon be $35.00 (plus the $1.00 agent fee) and the non-resident ATV registrations will increase from $68.00 to $88.00. There will be notices and press releases over the summer about these increases but the reasoning behind this is to help with roads and bridges and snowmobile trails. ********************************************************************* Dog Licenses. Once your puppy turns 6 months it is required that you license him/her. I will need to see a current rabies certificate and if it is neutered, a paper that shows that it has happened. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Clam licenses are required to dig clams. A resident recreational (peck) license is $12.50, non-resident recreational licenses are $25.00. Licenses expire at midnight on March 31st each year. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BOAT REGISTRATIONS and excise tax on documented boats are due on January 1st. Don't forget to keep the boat trailers current as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All ATV and snowmobile registrations are due June 30th. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ TRANSFER STATION HOURS are as follows: Sunday 12 - 5 Tuesday 4 - 7 Thursday 4 - 7 Friday 4 - 7 In July and August ONLY there will be hours on Saturday. Hours will be posted at a later date. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
