Surviving besides his wife of Atlantic are one son, Malcolm Edward of Atlantic; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Hildings of Vinalhaven; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Woodman of Nobleboro; two half-brothers, three half-sisters; seven grandchildren; one great-granchild. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Atlantic Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery on Swan's Island. He was buried on 16 January 1976 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Malcolm James Martin and Avis Mildred Harvey were married on 30 October 1937 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Avis Mildred Harvey was born on 3 May 1920 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 8 December 1995 in Bar Harbor, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She was buried on 11 December 1995 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.
