Swan's Island: Karl H. Batcheler, 69, died Tuesday in an Ellsworth hospital after a long illness. He was born at Brooklin, June 22, 1898, and was a fisherman most of his life.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret (Burns) Batcheler of here; one half brother.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Swan's Island Methodist Church with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Burial will be in Grindle Hill Cemetery. He was buried on 8 June 1968 in Grindle Hill cemetery, Swan's Island. A fisherman.
