456. Wayne K. Welch was born on 17 February 1940 in Stonington, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 17 July 2008 in Florida, USA. Wayne K. Welch, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 17, 2008, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born February 17, 1940, in Stonington, Maine. He was the son of Kenneth Welch and Flora (Ellis) Alley. Wayne was a master electrician for 32 years for IBEW Local 1253. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Dad taught his girls the love and art of fishing and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
He leaves behind his daughters, Tammy R. Stevenson of Cato, N.Y., and Toni D. Brundidge of Jordan, N.Y.; his best friend and brother, Robert B. Welch of Paisley, Fla.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, William and Randall Welch, and granddaughter, Carrie Elizabeth Brundidge.
A memorial service will be held on August 16, 2008, at 2 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ Restoration Branch in Sunset, Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Island Angels, 42 Donnell Pond Rd., Franklin, ME, 04634, c/o Melissa Jones Bayley.
