250. Rilla Staples was born on 28 October 1883 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 27 June 1966 in Augusta, Kennebec County, Maine, USA. RILLA GROVER
Brunswick; Rilla (Staples) Grover, 82, widow of Harold E. Grover of Winter Harbor, died at an Augusta hospital Thursday after an illness of several years.
Born Oct. 28, 1883, at Swan's Island, she was a former school teacher, having taught at Franklin, Deer Isle and Winter Harbor. She was a member of Rubie Chapter, OES, of Winter Harbor.
Surviving are a daughter, Marguerite Jaffe of Franklin; a son, Charles D. Grover of Topsham; a brother, Merton Staples of Newcastle; three granddaughters, Vesta Hefro of Long Island, N. Y., Sheila Girandia and Marguerite Moeller, both of Brunswick; four great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Brackett Funeral Home, Federal Street, Brunswick.
Commital services will be conducted at Evergreen Cemetery, Winter Harbor, at 4 p.m. Saturday. She was buried in Evergreen cemetery, Winter Harbor.

Rilla Staples and Harold Eaton Grover were married on 28 August 1912 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Harold Eaton Grover was born on 29 December 1885. He died before June 1966. He had lost his thumb on his left hand he said on his draft card.
