338. Dorothy Helen Joyce was born on 7 August 1914 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died about 1982 in Spruce Head, Maine, USA. She was adopted. Raised by grandparents, Walter and Etta Joyce after parents died from Flu.

Dorothy Helen Joyce and Bernard E. Rackliff were married on 25 March 1934. Bernard E. Rackliff was born on 23 August 1908 in South Thomaston, Maine, USA. He died on 5 March 2006 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine, USA. SPRUCE HEAD - Bernard E. Rackliff, 97, a lifelong resident here, died Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Knox Center for Long Term Care, Rockland.
Born in South Thomaston, August 23, 1908, he was the son of Robert Eugene and Lillian F. Warren Rackliff. He attended local schools.
March 25, 1934, he married Dorothy Helen Joyce. The couple made their home here all their married lives. Mrs. Rackliff died October 12, 1982.
He enjoyed a lifelong career lobstering on Wheelers Bay.
Mr. Rackliff was a member of Tenants Harbor Lodge of Masons and for more than 60 years was a member of Wileys Corner Grange.
He loved to hunt, work in his workshop and studying his family's genealogy.
Besides his wife, Mr. Rackliff was pre-deceased by a son Barry in 1939 and sister, Evelyn Archer in 2003. He is survived by one son Ronald E. Rackliff and his wife Eileen; two brothers Frank Rackliff, Alvin Rackliff, all of Spruce Head; two grandchildren Tamela Parini and her husband Glenn of Warren, Craig Rackliff and his wife Adreth of Spruce Head; four great-grandchildren Brittany, Regan, Logan and Alexandra as well as several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service at Ocean View Cemetery, South Thomaston, will be announced at a later date.

He was a Lobster Fisherman. Bernard was buried in Ocean View cemetery, South Thomaston, Maine.
