Clinton A. Barbour, 68, died Tuesday as a Rockland hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Harriet Ames Barbour.
Born at Swan's Island on Feb. 6, 1906, he was the son of Emery and Hattie Joyce Barbour.
Mr. Barbour operated the Friendly Market in Rockland until his retirement 10 years ago.
Besides his widow of Rockland; Mr. Barbour is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Cynthia) Packard of Rockland; two brothers, Shirley of Owls Head, and Lawrence Barbour of Marblehead, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Ada Kosta of Rockland; two granddaughters, Mrs. Susan Dean of Rockland and Mrs. Rhonda LaChance of Rockville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will on Friday at 2 p.m. from the Burpee Funeral Home with the Rev. David Dunn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening. He had Social Security Number 007-20-9551. Clinton A. Barbour and Harriet E. Ames were married on 29 January 1929. Harriet E. Ames died after December 1974. Clinton A. Barbour-11360 and Harriet E.
