Portland: Charles E. Parker, 79, of 151B Allen Ave., formerly of Cape Elizabeth, died Jan 27, 1984 at a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born on Swan's Island, the son of Addison and Minnie (Gott) Parker. He attended schools on the island and moved to the Portland area 45 years ago. He had worked for Fox and Ginn Co. as general manager of the Portland warehouse, retiring in 1970. He had recently worked for C. Henry Robinson of Cape Elizabeth, retiring in October 1983. Mr. Parker was a member of the Masons and the Minturn Advent Christian Church of Swan's Island. His first wife, Doris (Kent) Parker died in 1969. Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Sweetsir) Parker of Portland; one daughter, Mrs. Warren (Edna) Filmore of Portland; three stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Elaine) McKenney of South Portland, Frances Milstead of Panama City, Fla., and Mrs. Louis (Beverly) Domeratzsky of Beverly, Mass.; one stepson, Richard Sweetsir of Cape Elizabeth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland. Burial will be in Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
