Thomaston,; Mrs. Clara V. Grant, 78, of 36 Knox Street, died Sunday afternoon at Rockland.
She was born at Swan's Island, Jan. 4, 1883, the daughter of Charles and Annie Stewart Sadler.
Surviving are a son, Ralph A. Grant of Marblehead, Mass.; three daughters, Mrs. Rilla Hennigar of Swan's Island, Mrs. Shirley A. Mulvehill of Philadelphia, PA., and Mrs. Anne Billings of Thomaston; a brother Emerson Sadler of Rockland; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Prayers will be said at Davis Funeral home in Thomaston, Tuesday at 5 p. m. and funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p. m. at the Advent Christian Church in Swan's Island. Rev. Roy I. Bohanan of the First Baptist Church in Rockland will officiate at both services. Interment will be at the Grindle Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. She was buried in Grindle Hill cemetery, Swan's Island.
