Minturn: Mrs. Rilla L. Hennigar, 73, widow of Milton Hennigar, died May 4, 1979, at her home in Minturn. She was born at Harbour Island Oct. 9, 1905, daughter of Ralph and Clara (Sadler) Grant. For many years she was a Sunday School teacher and treasurer of the Advent Christian Church and president of the Home and Foriegn Missionary Society of the church. She is survived by two sons, Almond E. Jellison of Los Angeles, Calif., and Minturn, and Richard C. Jellison of Minturn; a daughter, Jacquelyn Conley of Tremont; a brother, Ralph Grant of Searsport; two sisters, Ann Billings of Thomaston, Shirley Mulvehill of Warrington, Pa.; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Advent Christian Church with the Rev. Winslow Hall officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, Sunday 2 to 4 p.m. and at the Advent christian Church 9:30 to 11:30 Tuesday. She was buried on 8 May 1979 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Rilla Vena Grant and Almond L. (R.) Jellison were married on 26 July 1924 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. They were divorced before November 1939. Almond L. (R.) Jellison was born on 25 December 1905 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He served in the military in World War II, US Army. He died on 24 December 1985 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Almond was buried spring 1984 in Richmond, Sagadahoc County, Maine, USA.

Minturn, Swan's Island: Milton C. Hennigar, 59, died July 9 at a Mount Desert hospital following a brief illness. He was born at Minturn March 10, 1915, the son of Clarence and Beatrice (Parker) Hennigar. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Minturn. He was a selectman of Swan's Island for many years and a deputy sheriff. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Beatrice Simmons, Rockland; his widow, Mrs. Rilla Grant Hennigar; a daughter, Mrs. Jackie Burns, Swan's Island; two stepsons, Eugene Jellison, Los Angeles, and Richard Jellison, Rockland; five sisters, Mrs. Beatrice LeMoine and Mrs. Roberta Joyce, Swan's Island, Mrs. Shirley Post, Spruce Head; Mrs. Beverly French, Brewer; Mrs. Joyce Knight, Lincolnville; several aunts and one uncle. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Advent Christian Church of Minturn with the Rev. Albert Currier officiating. Friends may call at the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. He was buried on 12 July 1974 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Raised by his grandmother, Minnie Gott Parker.
