Gray, 79, Raeford, N.C., died May 22, 2008. He was the son of James and Kathleen (Cleveland) Gray. Born April 14, 1929, in Stonington, Maine. He attended school and worked on the stone quarry, entered the U.S. Army, and trained in special forces of paratroopers at Ford Bragg, N.C.He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; six children, daughters, Pamela Meshaw, Sherrill Morrisoa, Shella Sequra; sons; Carroll, Jimmy and Charles; stepson, Max Rhoads; brothers, Lyle and Gordon, sisters, Norma Andrews, Marie Webb; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers, Guy, James, Alton and Everett Alan Gray. Services will be held at Hamilton Porter Funeral Home Chapel, in Hope Mills. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park West in Fayetteville, N.C.
He was buried in June 2008 in Lafayette Memorial Park West, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Carrol served in the military Special Forces in U. S. Army.
