Rockland: Mrs. Gladys E. Chisholm, 83, wife of Thomas H. Chisholm, died March 5, 1980, at a Camden hospital following a brief illness. She was born at Swan's Island, Feb. 21, 1897, the daughter of Llewellyn and Catherine (Albee) Joyce. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, was a graduate of Rockland High School, class of 1916. She is survived by her husband of Rockland; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Catherine) Leadbetter of Camden; three sons, Donald J. of Owls Head, Raymond E. of Portland, Thomas B. of Manchester, Conn.; one brother, Carleton Joyce of Swan's Island; 19 grandchildren,; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leo Goudreau officiating. Friends may call at the Carpenter Funeral Home, Friday, 7 to 9 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Caughlin Memorial Cemetery, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, friends are requested, if they wish, to contribute to the Camden Community Hospital Memorial Fund in her memory. She was buried in Caughlin Memorial cemetery, Rockland, Maine.

Thomas H. Chisholm was born in 1895 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine, USA. He died after March 1980.
