Swan's Island: Lilla M. Moulden, 98, wife of the late Henry Moulden, died July 6, 1984, at a nursing home in Ellsworth after a long illness. She was born June 11, 1886, at Minturn, Swan's Island, the daughter of James and S. Viola (Pray) Bridges. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of Swan's Island. She owned and operated a restaurant on Swan's Island for 40 years. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rachel Joyce of Stonington; Two grandsons, Raymond Clarke of South Portland and Stephen Joyce of North Carolina; seven great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Buleah Clarke and Madge Mercer. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Methodist Church in Swan's Island. Burial will be in Grindle Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. Friends may make donations in her memory to the Swan's Island Methodist Church or the Ambulance Corps or Fire Department of Swan's Island. Friends may call at Jordan Funeral Home, Ellsworth, 1-3 p.m. Saturday. She was buried on 9 July 1984 in Grindle Hill cemetery, Swan's Island.
