2. George Nelson. Carter was born about 4 October 1870 in Surry, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 28 February 1949 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Death certificate signed by Dr. Arnold Walker. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

George Nelson. Carter and Sadie Frances Eaton were married on 29 October 1917 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Sadie Frances Eaton was born on 4 March 1884 in Little Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 14 January 1968 in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, USA. SADIE CARTER
Minturn: Mrs. Sadie Frances Carter, 84, died Sunday at a Bangor hospital following a short illness.
She was born at Little Deer Isle, March 4, 1883, the daughter of James and Sarah Eaton.
She was the widow of George Nelson Carter.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Mable Sturdee of Stonington; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
She was a long term member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Deer Isle.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Advent Christian Church in Minturn with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Atlantic. She was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.
