452. Adelbert Leaman "Uncle Dellie" Bridges was born on 13 July 1877 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Year of birth also reported as 1878. He died on 28 July 1964 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Swan's Island: Adelbert L. Bridges, 87, died at his home Wednesday after a long illness. He was born on Swan's Island, July 13, 1877, the son of Leaman and Teloria (Gott) Bridges. He had retired as a lobster fisherman. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges of Swan's Island. Mr. Bridges is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude (Rowe) Bridges; a half sister, Mrs. Nathan Osier of Southwest Harbor; and several cousins. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 pm at the Methodist Church, Swan's Island, with the Rev. Bruce Mathewson officiating. Interment will be in Grindle Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. Friends may call at the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, Thursday afternoon.

Swan's Island: Mrs. Maude (Rowe) Bridges, 97, long-time resident of Swan's Island, died Feb. 25 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Inez Ames of Rockland, with whom she had stayed for the last 12 years. Aunt Maude, as she was known by island residents, was born at Swan's Island Sept. 26, 1878, the daughter of Bradford and Ethlinda (Pray) Rowe. She attended the Swan's Island Methodist Church and was a lifetime member of the Rebekahs of Swan's Island, of which she was a past noble grand. She was the widow of Adelbert L. Bridges. Surviving besides her sister are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday from the Swan's Island Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Grindle Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. Arrangements are by the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert. She was buried on 28 February 1976 in Grindle Hill cemetery, Swan's Island. No children.
