He was a junior officer in Merchant Marines during World War 1. He was a former member of the Masonic and Odd Fellows Lodges at Swan's Island. He was an honary member of the Knights of Pythias of Bernard. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice (Robinson) Smith of here; a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Warren of Vinalhaven; a son, Clarence E. of Manset; nine grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday at the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, the Rev. Bradford C. Paynes officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor. Friends may call at the funeral chapel Saturday from 2 to 5 pm. He was buried in Mt. Height cemetery, Southwest Harbor. Rev. Clarence L. Nanette "Nettie" Trask was born on 22 January 1883 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Month of birth also reported as April.
