Swan's Island: Helen E. Stanley, 94, died Jan. 25, 1985, at Bar Harbor. She was born April 28, 1890, in Frankfort, the daughter of Alexander and Helen (Kelly) Borland. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Bucksport Methodist Church and the Atlantic Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John (Lenora) Wheaton of Swan's Island; two sons, Hugh Stanley of Manset and George Stanley of Swan's Island; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester, and a son, Ralph. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Atlantic Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Wagner officiating. Friends are invited to call at the church 9-11 a.m. Monday. Those who wish may make contributions to the Baptist and Methodist Churches of Swan's Island in Helen's memory.
