Keene, N. H.: Everett L. Torrey, 64, of Keene, N. H. and fomerly of Tenants Harbor, died Sunday at a Keene nursing home after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary E. Bickford Torrey.
Born at Swan's Island, on Nov. 5, 1909, he was the son of Levi and Daisy Joyce Torrey.
He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a graduate of St. George High School and of the Rockland Business College. He was a member and past member of Oceanview Grange.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army.
Besides his widow of Keene, N.H., Mr. Torrey is survived by one son, David Torrey of Keene; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Doris) Robinson of Southwest Harbor and Mrs. Leland (Elsie) Hawkins of Rockport; by a brother, Dr. Raymond Torrey of Belfast; and a grandson, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from Carpenter Funeral Home, Rockland. Interment will be at Seaside, Tenants Harbor.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Everett was buried in Seaside cemetery, Tenants Harbor.

Everett Lester Torrey and Mary Wheeler were married. Mary Wheeler died Tuberculosis. Died fairly young (following marriage) from TB. She was born in Tenant's Harbor, Maine, USA.

Everett Lester Torrey and Mary E. Bickford were married. Mary E. Bickford died after August 1974.
