Swan's Island: Mertic A. Morrison, 45, well-known lobster dealer here, died at his home Nov. 30. He was born in Southwest Harbor Dec. 20, 1927, the son of John and Zelda Tinker Morrison. Besides his mother of Trescott he is survived by his wife, Etta Buswell Morrison of Swan's Island; five daughters, Myrna, Mary and April of Swan's Island, Mrs. Linda Vanella of California, and Mrs. Christine Lewis of New Hampshire; three sons, John, Michael and Dennis of Swan's Island; two uncles and an aunt.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Baptist Church in Atlantic with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. He was buried on 3 December 1973 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Had a lobster & fish wharf business at Minturn. Later a restraunt & airport in Atlantic.

Mertic Arthur Morrison and Etta Clara Buswell were married on 9 October 1946 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Etta Clara Buswell was born on 4 June 1931 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Delivered by Dr. C. B. Popplestone.
