Ellsworth: Mrs. Beulah M. Clarke, 60, died Monday at a Boston hospital after a long illness.
She was born April 2, 1906, at Swan's Island, daughter of Henry and Lilla (Bridges) Moulden.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of here and a member and past president of the Ellsworth Women's club. She served as vice president of the Maine Women's Club. She was a member and past president of the Ellsworth Literature Club and member and past president of the Congregational Women's Guild. She was chairman for several years of the Hancock County Cancer Drive and was an active member of the Hancock County Republican Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband, Milo B. Clarke of here; a son, Raymond Clarke of South Portland; three grandchildren; her mother, of Swan's Island; two sisters, Mrs. Madge Mercer of Bangor, Mrs. Rachel Joyce of Stonington; two nephews; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Jordan Funeral home, here, the Rev. John McDuffie of Swan's Island officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery here.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. She was buried in Woodbine cemetery, Ellsworth. Beulah was educated in Stonington High School. Died with Hodgkins Dease.

Beulah Viola Moulden and Milo Butler Clarke were married on 11 March 1925. Milo Butler Clarke was born on 8 April 1903 in Franklin, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 12 January 1970 in Bar Harbor Hospital, Maine, USA. MILO CLARKE
Ellsworth: Milo Butler Clarke, 66, husband of the late Beulah M. Clarke, died Monday at a Bar Harbor hospital after a brief illness.
He was born April 8, 1903 at Franklin, son of James W. and Mabel L. Butler Clarke.
He was a member of the Reliance Masonic Lodge No. 196 at Stonington and a member of the Marine Masonic Lodge No. 122, of Deer Isle.
He was a charter member of the Stonington and Ellsworth Lions Clubs.
He worked in the office of the Price Administration during the second World War from 1933-1946, both at local and state levels.
He served as Clerk of Courts for Hancock County for 2 years, 1958-1960, having been appointed by Gov. Burton Cross to fill the unexpired term of Boyd A. Blaisdell.
He was a member of the Board of Assessors of Ellsworth and was a jury commissioner for Hancock County.
He is survived by one son, Raymond M .(Jack) Clarke of South Portland; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Jordan Funeral Home in Ellsworth with Rev. Malcolm MacDuffie officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Woodbine Cemetery, Ellsworth.
