Joyce, 84, of Waldoboro and Matinicus, died Saturday at his home in Waldoboro after a long illness.
He was a carpenter and fisherman and was born November 17, 1869, at Swan's Island, the son of Byron and Abbie Joyce.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Myra Graves of Augusta and Miss Madeline Ames of Waldoboro; one son Roland Ames of Rockland; two sisters, Mrs. Lilla Clark of Roslindale, Mass., and Mrs. Seth joyce of Swan's Island; one brother, Walter joyce of Swan's Island; one grandson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the russell Funeral Home at Rockland with Rev. Robert H. Plummer of the Waldoboro Methodist Church officiating.
Bueial will be at Swan's Island. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. A carpenter, house builder and business man. Very innovative person.
