Joyce of Camden. He was born on Swan's Island, May 30, 1903, the son of Vondel and Estella (Rowe) Joyce. He was the proprietor of E. E. Joyce Company on 8 Bayview Street. He was a 32nd degree Mason of Amity Lodge, and a member of the Camden Commandry. He was a past state officer. Joyce was the only living charter member of the Camden Community Hospital, where he had served as treasurer, president and secretary. He was a director of the Camden Outing Club and was also one of its founders. He was a director of the Camden Chamber of Commerce and was manager of the Knox Trust Company from 1927 to 1934. He had also been associated with the Central Maine Power Company. Surviving in addition to his widow, Edna Joyce are a son Cedric E. Joyce of Camden; four grandchildren and his stepfather, Harold Hart of Camden. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Congregational Church, Camden, with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Masonic commital services will be held at the Mountain view Cemetery, Camden. Elmer was buried in Mountainview cemetery, Camden. Lived at Rockland & Camden. Elmer Eugene Joyce and Edna M. Gross were married. Edna M. Gross was born on 7 June 1901 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 26 September 1973 in Camden, Knox County, Maine, USA. EDNA JOYCE Camden: Mrs. Edna M. Joyce, 73, died at a Camden hospital Wednesday. She was the widow of Elmer E. Joyce. Born at Deer Isle on June 7, 1900, she was the daughter of John and Clara Gross. She had been a resident of Camden for the past 45 years. Mrs. Joyce was associated for many years with her husband in the Joyce Electrical business, formerly of Camden. Survivors include two brothers, Elwood and Donald Gross, both of Deer Isle, four grandchildren, Christopher C., Peter E. and Mellisa M. and Elizabeth J. Joyce, all of Camden. Funeral services will be from the First Congregational Church of Camden on Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, if friends prefer, contributions may be made to the Camden Community Hospital. She was buried in Mountainview cemetery, Camden. Elmer Eugene Joyce-2759 and Edna M.
