He was born at Swan's Island, Feb. 10, 1898, the son of Arthur and Mary Torrey. He is survived by : one brother, Sheldon of Swan's Island, two sisters, Mrs. Leila White of Swan's Island and Mrs. Zelda Tinker of Trescott; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Atlantic Baptist Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Fernald Funeral Chapel in Mount Desert. He was buried on 24 October 1974 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Unmarried. Self educated.
