1. 'King' David Smith Sr. was born on 14 July 1760 in Lyndeboruugh, New Hampshire, USA. He served in the military from 1777 to 1780 in Continential Army, New Hampshire. Rumored to have crossed the Deleware along with General Washington in December 1776, possibly as a drummer boy.
Served in regiment of New Hampshire commanded by Col. Joseph Cilley. He died on 26 May 1840 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. David was buried in North cemetery, Swan's Island. Marker inscribed with S.A. R. Revolutionary war soldier under General Cilley. Wounded. Received pension. Moved to Deer Isle following war, about 1786. Came to Swan's Island (Harbor Island) in 1791. Later moved to Swan's 'Big house'. Worked at Col. Swan's Grist Mill.

'King' David Smith Sr. and Unknown were married. Unknown was born in Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampsire, USA.
