Minturn: Mrs. Vinnie R. Gott, 80, died May 14, 1979, at a Bar Harbor hospital. She was born April 16, 1899, at Swan's Island, daughter of Willis and Lillian Moulden Conary. Surviving are her husband, Edwin, of Minturn; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Martin of Minturn; one grand-daughter, Delores Roberts; and one great-grandson, John Michael Roberts, both of Bangor; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Thompson of Rockland, and Ada Tinker, Owls Head; several cousins; two nieces; one nephew. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at the Advent Christian Church, Minturn, with the Rev. Winslow Hall officiating. Friends may call at the Advent Church 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Atlantic. Arrangements by the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert.

According to Dr. Small's 'Record of First One Hundred cases of Midwifery" from May of 1891 to September 1899 in a ledger on pages 290 - 296, Dr. Small stated that Louisa was in labor 4 hours and Edwin weighed 7 3/4 pounds. He was the 5th child.
