Besides his wife he is survived by five children, Paul Stockbridge of Swans Island, Sandra Carter of Exeter, RI, Lorene Dolan of Gulf Port, FL, Franklin D. Johnson, Jr. and Prudence Calise both of North Kingstown, RI; a brother, Vernon Johnson of Swans Island; nine beloved grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a treasured grandson, James Dolan. He was the brother of the late William Johnson, Hulda Newton and Dottie Lemoine. A 20 year United States Navy Veteran, he proudly served aboard the William Wood for the first few years of his service with the remaining years for the Seabees. He served two tours in Vietnam for his country. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 42, The Davisville Seabees, the American Legion Post 12, CMA of RI and RICH (Rhode Island Country Horizons) He was the owner and operator of Franks Plumbing & Heating for 35 years. His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10am in the Exeter Chapel, 765 Ten Rod Road, Exeter. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 4 to7pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
