Fourth Generation

28. Augusta S. Stanley was born on 30 September 1864 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 4 January 1949 in Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA. Services for the late Augusta Sadler, who died at her home in Waterbury, Conn., Jan. 4, were held at the Burpee Funeral Home with the Rev. Alfred G. Hempstead officiating. Her sudden passing was a great shock to her family and friends, and all the lovely floral tributes told of the love which she was held.
Mrs. Sadler was born at Swan's Island, Sept. 30, 1865, daughter of Freeman W. and Aurilla Gott Stanley. She married Willard Sadler, who died 10 years later leaving his widow and a young son five years of age. She has always been a devout Christian and loved her church, to which she gave her time and offerings freely. She possessed a sweet disposition and a loyalty to ther home and family.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Waterbury, the Woman's Society of Christian Service and the W.C.T.U. of that city, and of the Eastern Star of Rockland. She is survived by one son, Wesley E. Sadler of Waterbury, on brother, Herman A. Stanley, and two sisters, Mrs. Vesta Stewart and Mrs. Augustus Dolliver of Rockland.

They were married on 2 July 1883 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Married by Oliver L. Joyce. Willard E. Sadler was born on 3 October 1862 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 2 February 1895 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA.
