Laura M. Smith and Calvin E. Stinson were married on 19 November 1912 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Calvin E. Stinson, son of Benjamin Roland Stinson and Helen F. Bridges, was born on 18 March 1890 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 1 December 1928 at the age of 38 in Swan's Island, Hancock County, Maine, USA. The community was saddened by the death of Calvin Stinson at his home Saturday afternoon. Mr. Stinson had been a semi-invalid for several years, and for some months was confined to the house and a great sufferer. He was faithfully cared for by his wife and daughter, also his father, mother and sister. "Cal" as he was called was in active service during the World War and it is generally thought that much of the pain and suffering was caused by the hardships he experienced through those months of service. He was born March 18, 1890, and is survived by his wife, Laura, and adopted daughter Theo, one sister, Mrs. Goldie Bickmore and his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Stinson, and aged grandmother Mrs. Ellen Bridges; also several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held at his late home Tuesday. The bearers were Alfred Sprague, Harry Stockbridge, Harold Thompson and George Moulton, all ex-service men. The floral offerings were beautiful and many. Those from out of town to attend the funeral were Basil Stinson of Rockland and Mrs. Merton Staples of Damariscotta. He was buried in Grindle Hill cemetery, Swan's Island. Wife, Laura collected from 'Soldier's & Sailor's' fund. He must have survived somehow.

Laura M. Smith-1961 and Calvin E. Stinson-1883 had the following children:
