114. Chancey Vernon Lowell was born on 12 July 1899 in Castine, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He served in the military in World War I. He died about 1969 at the age of 70 in Rockland, Knox County, Maine, USA. Camden: Chauncey V. Lowell, 70, formerly of Rockland, died at a Rockland hospital Thursday morning after a long illness. He was the husband of Delia Parsons Lowell. The son of Howard and Eva Bridges Lowell, he was born at Castine on July 12, 1899. an Army veteran of World War 1, he was a member of the Winslow-Holbrook-Merritt American Legion Post of Rockland. He was also a member of the Knox Lodge IOOF, the Rebekahs, and the Rockland Lodge of Masons, all of Rockland. Retired, he had been employed at Snow's Shipyard and General Foods as an electrician and purchasing agent for 21 years, prior to his retirement four years ago. Besides his widow of Camden, Mr. Lowell is survived by a son, Howard P. Lowell of Hallowell and a brother, George E. Lowell of Portland. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am from the Russell Funeral Hme, Rockland, with Rev. Charles R. Monteith officiating. Interment will be at the Castine Cemetery, Castine. Chancey was buried in Castine cemetery.
