She worked at the Penobscot Poultry Co. in the early 70s, and North Lubec Canning Co. for several years. She was a member of the Pioneer Grange, Pomona as well as State and National Granges. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting in her spare time. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Linden of Camden, and son Arthur Stockbridge of Appleton. She is survived by sons; Kenneth Stockbridge and his wife Janice of Appleton, John Stockbridge and his wife, Wilma of Wanette, Okla. and daughter, Mable Pease of Appleton, six grandchildren, and several grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. There will be no service at Hilda’s request. There will be a family gathering at Pine Grove Cemetery in the spring. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Maine Division, Inc., 52 Federal St., Brunswick, 04011.
