Bass Harbor and Southwest Harbor: George E. Lemoine, 74, died May 30, 1986, at Southwest Harbor. He was born in Swan's Island, March 16, 1912, the son of John and Dorothy (Russell) Lemoine. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Stockbridge of Swan's Island; two sons, Merrill of Stonington and Franklin of Connecticut; three sisters, Mrs, James (Ethel) Robbins, Mrs. Violet Sadler and Mrs. Oscar (Harriet) Johnson, all of Stonington; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, George, Jr. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Swan's Island. Those who wish are asked to please make contributions to the Swan's Island Ambulance Fund, care of Steve Harriman, Swan's Island 04685. Arrangements by Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert. He was buried on 2 June 1986 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Agnes R. Wood, 88, died Sept. 8, 2001, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport. She was born on Swans Island, a daughter of Edwin and Kathleen Moulden Stanley, and attended island schools.
On July 29, 1968, she married Cecil K. Wood on Vinalhaven. They lived there until moving to Rockland 13 years ago. Mrs. Wood worked as a cook for the Lewis family on Vinalhaven and for many other island families. After working at the Ship Ahoy for more than 11 years, she became its owner and operator for four years. She later worked as a clerk at various island stores.
She attended Souls Harbor Church of God.
Surviving are her husband of Rockland; a son, Alfred C. Orcutt of Winterport; two daughters, Dorothy Lamoine Stockbridge of Swans Island and Valerie Allen of Rockland; many grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, many great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morrill Village Cemetery, Route 131, Morrill. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Souls Harbor Church of God. Arrangements are by Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home. She was buried in Village cemetery, Morrill, Maine.

He was born July 4, 1948, the son of George and Eva (Gross) Lemoine.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alton Dunham of Westerly, R.I.; his father, George Lemoine, Sr. of Swan's Island; his grandmother, Mrs. Merle Gross of Stonington; two brothers, Merrill and Frank, both of Stonington; two half brothers Roger Dunham of Stonington and Larry Perkins of Westerly, R.I.; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Nazarene Church here with the Rev. Ronald Wirth officiating. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery.
