| Home Surname List Name Index Sources Email Us Genealogy Home | Descendants of Swan's Island's Jeptha BensonJeptha Benson, having served in the Revolutionary War, the war of 1812 and having lived at Deer Isle, came to Marshall's Island following the War of 1812. Since he leased the property on Marshall's Island, he was forced off by Swan's agent, Rufus B. Allyn in 1835. He then moved to Brooksville where he died in about 1855 at the age of 98 years.
