Descendants of Swan's Island's James Rowe

James Rowe must have come to Swan's Island sometime before 1847 because he and Cordelia Stewart were married in that year. She was born on Swan's Island, so they likely met on the Island. Mr. Rowe was from Baldwin, Maine and was experienced as a carpenter and cooper. It isn't clear why Dr. Small failed to mention the Rowe family, but perhaps he addressed only second or later generation families.
