Bessie Evelyn Joyce and Everett Clayton Joseph Black were married on 22 June 1918. Everett Clayton Joseph Black, son of Frank Louis Black and Sara Edith Robinson, was born on 1 November 1892 in Blue Hill, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 27 January 1936 at the age of 43 in Fairfield, Maine, USA. He was buried in Hill Rest cemetery, West Tremont.171

Bessie Evelyn Joyce and Peter Alexander M. "Alex" Davis were married on 14 February 1954. Peter Alexander M. "Alex" Davis, son of Leaman T. Davis and Agnes F. Joyce, was born on 11 October 1888 in Frenchboro, Hancock County, Maine, USA. He died on 6 November 1967 at the age of 79 in Ellsworth, Hancock County, Maine, USA. ALEX DAVIS
Bass Harbor; Alex P. Davis, 79, died Monday in an Ellsworth hospital after a short illness.
He was born in Frenchboro, Oct. 11, 1888, the son of Leman and Agnes (Twist) Davis.
Davis belonged to the Southwest Harbor I.O.O.F. Lodge and the Bernard Knights of Pythias Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bessie (Joyce) Davis of Bass Harbor; five daughters, Mrs. Vivian Lunt and Mrs. Lillian Lunt both of Frenchboro, Mrs. Roseta Seavey and Mrs. Ruby Daigle, both of Mt. Desert, and Mrs. Carolyn Seavey of Mt. Desert; four sons, Vincent of Frenchboro, Lawrence and Richard, both of Southwest Harbor, and Elmer of Boston; 17 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; three step-children, Mrs. Mertice Buzzell of Bar Harbor, Mrs. Marion Farley of Tremont, and Mrs. Clayton Black of Bernard; three brothers, Elmer of Southwest Harbor, Granville of Bass Harbor, and Bennie of Frenchboro; four sisters, Mrs. Flora Thurston and Mrs. Mary Osier, both of Southwest Harbor, Mrs. Millie Hunton of Bar Harbor, and Mrs. Florence Atwood of Woburn, Mass.; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mt. Desert, with the Rev. Robert Loring officiating. Burial will be in the Frenchboro Cemetery, Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Neal Bousfield of the Maine Seacoast Mission officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral chapel. He was buried in Frenchboro, Hancock County, Maine, USA.
