BURTIS D. TRUNDY JR. DEER ISLE-Burtis “Buster” Trundy, 65, died August 11, 2006, at his home in Deer Isle after a brave three-year battle with cancer. He was born May 17, 1941, in Stonington, Maine, the son of Burtis and Elizabeth (Sawyer) Trundy Sr. He loved the sea and was an avid hunter. He is survived by his companion and guardian angel, Lori Brown, of Deer Isle; two sons, Daniel and his companion, Katie, of Stonington, and Ricky and his wife, Janet, of Deer Isle; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Penny Trundy and his wife, Scamp, of Stonington, Alan Trundy and his wife, Shirley, of Deer Isle, and James Ahern and his wife, Pat, of Boscawen, N.H.; two sisters, Lorie Jordan of Ellsworth, and Fran Lufkin and her husband, Dick, of Concord, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sons, Chris, in 1986, and Kevin, in 2005, and a sister, Naomi McGuire, in 1970. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 4 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Oceanville with Harry Vickerson officiating. He was buried on 19 August 2006 in Greenwood cemetery, Oceanville, Maine.

Burtis Delmont "Buster" Trundy Jr. and Constance Lee "Connie" Bridges were married in April 1960 in Deer Isle, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Constance Lee "Connie" Bridges, daughter of Melvin Chesley Bridges and Barbara Irene Holmes, was born on 23 February 1943 in Torrington, Connecticut, USA.
