60. Captain Myles Standish was born between 1584 and 1586 in Chorley, Lancashire, England. He died on 3 October 1656 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA. He was buried in Old burying ground., Duxbury, Massachusetts. Myles served in the military in Dutch Army. Participated in the war of the Dutch & Spain. Came on the "Mayflower" in 1620. Soldier. Commander in Chief of Pilgrim Army until 1653. Left an estate of 258 pounds, a considerable amount for the time. Assets included: 5 horses, 2 saddles, a bridle and pillow, 14 cattle, a flock of sheep, some swine, assorted weapons, warming pan, a dozen tromclers (?), 3 beer casks, a malt mill, a churn, and a small library. Referred to as either Miles or Myles. Was treasurer of Plymouth Colony. Moved to Duxbury in 1632.Came on the Mayflower in 1620, He was a soldier by profession.

	ix.	Charles Standish was born after 1634 in Plymouth or Duxbury. He died after 7 March 1655.
