Born at Camden on Oct. 4, 1931, he was the son of Elmer and Edna Gross Joyce. A Lifelong resident of Camden, a 1949 graduate of Camden High School and a 1954 graduate of the University of Maine, Mr. Joyce was a mechanical engineer and had been employed at Marine Colloids in Rockland. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member and trustee of the First Congregational Church of Camden; a director of the Camden Outing Club; and a member of the Board of the YMCA for seven years. Besides his widow of Camden, Mr. Joyce is survived by his mother, by two sons, Christopher C. and Peter E., and by two daughters, Mellisa M. and Elizabeth J. all of Camden. Services will be held at the First Congregational Church on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald W. Henderson officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Camden. The family requests that flowers be omitted. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Educational Fund of the First Congregational Church, Camden.
