1. Jacob Somes Reed¹ was born on 22 December 1803 in Sedgwick, Hancock County, Maine, USA. Also reported as 19th. He died on 6 March 1888 in Scarboro, Maine, USA. He was buried in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic. Moved to Swan's Island from Brooklin in 1845. Had a grist mill at Brooklin and on Swan's Island.
