His wife was Martha Gott. He afterwards moved to Black or Conarys Island, where he lived some years. Later he came back to this town and bought a part of the lot then owned by Joseph Gott. He built the house where David Stanley now resides. After having reared their family here they moved to Blue Hill where Mr. and Mrs. Conary died. Mr. Conary was a son of Thomas Conary who emigrated to this country from Ireland, and was the first settler on Conarys Island in Eggemoggin Reach.
