Micheal Burton Carter, 52, of Waldoboro, died peacefully at home on Feb. 2, following a long illness.
He was born Nov. 8, 1954, in Damariscotta, a son of the late Burton E. and Esther F. (Harvey) Carter.

He loved going to lawn sales, traveling and looked forward to trips to Santa’s Village in New Hampshire with his grandkids. He loved to cook and was well known for his yeast rolls.
Micheal was known as a person with a big heart. When a person was down he could always make them smile with a little friendly teasing.
He was fun loving and outgoing. Micheal had many life long friendships. He would give you the shirt off his back, and will be remembered as a devoted father and loving grandfather. He loved being around people, spending time with family and helping anyone in need.
