6. Beatrice Charlene Simmons was born on 14 September 1931 in Blue Hill, Hancock County, Maine, USA. She died on 13 August 2005 in Bar Harbor Hospital, Maine, USA. BEATRICE C. LEMOINE SWANS ISLAND - Beatrice C. Lemoine, 73, died Aug. 13, 2005, at an MDI hospital. She was born Sept. 14, 1931, in South Thomaston, the daughter of Elbridge and Beatrice (Parker) Simmons. She worked as a crab picker for 23 years. Beatrice was a devoted wife and homemaker and enjoyed her family and friends. She is survived by a daughter Cindy Turner and husband, Gary; four sons, Gilbert Lemoine and wife, Pat, and Ronald Lemoine, all of Swans Island, Ricky Lemoine and wife, Martha, of Ellsworth, and Harrison Lemoine and partner, Jane Ojala of Brooks; a sister, Joyce Knight of Warren; seven grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mary Ann Lemoine. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Lemoine; a daughter, Annette Tozier; and three sisters. Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Swans Island, with Pastor Paul Joy presiding. Arrangements by Jordan-Fernald, 1140 Main St., Mount Desert.
She was buried on 16 August 2005 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.

Swan's Island: Richard E. Lemoine, Sr., 50, died Dec. 13, 1979, at the Bar Harbor Hospital. He was born at Swan's Island Aug. 5, 1929, son of Everett and Helen (Torrey) Lemoine. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Simmons) Lemoine, and his mother, both of Swan's Island; four daughters, Helen Gardner, Annette Lemoine and Cindy Lemoine, all of Swan's Island; Donna MacDonald of Waltham; five sons, Richard Lemoine, Jr. of Rockland; Ricky Lemoine of Houston, Texas; Gilbert Lemoine, Ronnie Lemoine and Jeff Lemoine, all of Swan's Island; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Kenny Lemoine, Sr. of Swan's Island, Donny Lemoine of Connecticutt, Herbert Lemoine of Bass Harbor; one uncle; four aunts; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Advent Christian Church, Minturn, with the Rev. Winslow Hall officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Atlantic. Friends may call at the Advent Christian Church Saturday 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by the Fernald Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert. He was buried on 15 December 1979 in Rose Hill cemetery, Atlantic.
