Adam D. Nevells was born about 1992. He died on 4 September 2009 in Okemos, Michigan, USA. Adam D. Nevells Okemos A 17 year-old captain of Okemos' water polo team died Friday, September 4, 2009. Adam was also captain of the wrestling team, a saxophone player in the marching and concert band, a Life Scout with Boy Scouts of America and a student-at-large on the Martin Luther Chapel council of East Lansing. He also participated in the school TV studio, filming board meetings and school events. Adam was working on his Eagle Scout project of landscaping the Okemos Public Library. Adam was polite, kind, considerate, and an inspiration to all who knew him. He considered majoring in bio-engineering in college and was being recruited to wrestle at several universities. Adam lived and loved life large. Adam was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert R. Nelson. Surviving are his parents, Michael and Elaine (Nelson) Nevells, and one brother, Matthew; grandparents, Joan T. Nelson of Beverly, MA, and F. James and Carol Nevells of Lady Lake, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbot Road, East Lansing, with Rev. David A. Dressel officiating. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Okemos, MI. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 8 from 2-4, and 6-8 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Ave., East Lansing with visitation also 1 hour prior at church on Wednesday.
