On July 14th there will be an election at the Town Office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. We haven't quite got the set up figured out yet but there will be rules and guidelines to go by like everywhere else these days. Please be kind and wear a mask. The election workers will be wearing theirs for 10 hours and more, per the State mandate. We have been provided with protective and cleaning equipment for your safety as well as our own. If you are not comfortable with coming out to vote, please contact me or go to Maine.gov and apply for a ballot and they will notify me immediately and I will get a ballot sent out to you as soon as possible.
TO CLAMMERS WHO ARE APPLYING FOR A LICENSE ON JUNE 1st
The office doors will not be open to the public on June 1st but the applications will be left on a table outside by the SIDE DOOR at 8 A.M. The drawing will be at 9 A.M. from a distance so that you all can watch the process.
Pens and a few clipboards will be available as well as a small piece of paper for you to write your name on for the drawing. There will be a basket for you to leave your application in and a box for you to put your name in for the drawing. If there is a license to be given out that day, you will leave your money in the box and I will process the license and put it on the table for you to pick up once I move away.
TO ISLAND RESIDENTS:
Those who are wanting a license on June 1st, please contact me as soon as possible so I can send you an application. Your license will be processed for pickup June 1st while I am in the office.
